Contracts can cover many topics including government, economic, financial or climate indicators.
Examples include: Consumer Price Index, Fed Funds Rate, temperatures, atmospheric CO2, energy, metals, and equity indexes.
For each contract you hold that expires "in the money", in reference to the settlement value, you receive a fixed payout.

Trade YES or NO positions of whether an event will happen based on your views, economic theories, or predictions. The "YES" price is based on how likely an event is to happen.
You can earn the difference between the purchase price and the closing price for each contract you own. In addition, Forecast Contracts pay an interest-like incentive coupon based on the closing market value of the positions that accrues daily and is paid monthly at a rate of 3.83% APY
